Are Designations Important?

• When you choose your family doctor or need a surgeon you carefully choose the one who has the most knowledge to take the best care of you and your family. Look for the same when choosing a real estate agent to guide your family with one of lifes biggest financial decisions.
• To earn a designation, a REALTOR® a real estate agent has completed the courses and demonstrated specific skills, performance and knowledge in a particular area of the real estate industry. One of the top designations for a REALTOR® is the coveted CRS ( Certified Residential Specialist ) designation. This is like a Masters Degree in the real estate industry within residential real estate.
• There are several designations that true real estate professionals pursue. They are not required after licensing but are only sought for one reason - to be the best in their field for you and your family

Code of Ethics

• The Code establishes time-honored and baseline principles that come from the collective experiences of REALTORS® since the Code of Ethics was first established in 1913. Those principles can be loosely defined as:
• Loyalty to clients;
• Fiduciary (legal) duty to clients;
• Cooperation with competitors;
• Truthfulness in statements and advertising; and non-interference in exclusive relationships that other REALTORS® have with their clients.
